Description:Wines of distinction have been crafted at Colomé in the Upper Calchaquí Valley, in the Salta region, since 1831. Four estate vineyards are blended to achieve the best expression of Malbec. As the backbone of the blend, the Colomé vineyard surrounds the winery at 2,300 meters and lends complexity and weight. El Arenal vineyard, at 2,600 meters, brings elegance and freshness to the blend. La Brava vineyard sits at 1,700 metres and yields intense, ripe fruit. Altura Máxima vineyard, at 3,111 meters and one of the highest vineyards in the world, contributes floral and mineral notes with fine-grained tannins to the assemblage. This Malbec is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels.
